The Contractor

The Contractor is an American action thriller film starring Chris Pine and directed by Tarik Sales and was released on April 1st 2022 by Paramount Pictures in movie theaters and on-demand streaming services.  The film stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan and Kiefer Sutherland.

Plot:

After Involuntarily being discharged from the Army, James Harper, a special forces sergeant,  lands a contract with a private underground military force under the command of Rusty Jennings (Kiefer Sutherland). When his very first assignment goes amiss, Harper finds himself being hunted and on the run, caught in a dangerous conspiracy and fighting to stay alive long enough to get uncover the true motives of those who had betrayed him.
