Doug Pettibone

Doug Pettibone joined the Kiefer Sutherland band in 2019, replacing Michael Gurley.  Doug started playing guitar at the age of 8 where his first teacher was Andy Summers from the band The. Police.

Doug later studied with Eddie Lafreniere, guitarist for big band leader Jimmy Dorsey.  He spent the next five years studying the music of Dave Brubeck and Duke Ellington.   Doug later received a scholarship to Pepperdine University-Malibu for Jazz Guitar, Classical Guitar and Voice, and. graduated with a triple major in 1984.

Now a multi instrumentalist,  Doug has played with and recorded with many artists across his career.  These include John Mayer, Lucinda Williams, Tracy Chapman, Norah Jones and Zuchero, to name but a few.  He has also recorded two solo albums.
